Who is the big boss of NeilPryde?- The founder

The brand was founded by the famous New Zealand yachtsman Neil Pryde who was competing on an Olympic level. All started in 1970. First, the windsurf sails were launched (1979) and then the pretty rubber came out (1990).

What’s new with Neil Pryde wetsuits in 2020?

There are clear visual changes but there is still this famous NeilPryde Bullseye on the upper arm across the entire wetsuit collection.

One of the top thing about the NeilPryde wetsuit is that you can feel the difference around the calf area. The material in that area offers muscle relief while riding. This system on the calf area is called MLS (Muscle lock system). That kind of system can be seen on triathlon suits which are providing relaxed muscles- taking tension of the muscles.

I should also mention the EFX expansion panel, located right there on the forearm. The panel is a great thing for the ones who feel squeezed in the suit. There is not much focus to improve the material in the forearm area of the wetsuit, but the NeilPryde improved it just to ensure that you can hold on for longer. EFX expansion panel increases the blood flow to the forearm. Amazing flexibility, right?

Neil Pryde entry system

It has 3 entry system as any other brand of wetsuits. For sure you already know about all of them. Nothing new here!

Infrared back zipper, infrared front zipper, and E3 entry. The last one is a pull-over rubber which prevents water from entering through the back zip. It’s also a protection for your upper spine- preventing direct contact between the zipper and the vertebral.

It is made out of proprietary water repellent Armor skin Neoprene.

NEIL PRYDE RISE

It is the most affordable wetsuit on the NeilPryde market (men section). Although it’s the cheapest is still comfortable enough and also durable.

But my humble opinion is that the “low cost” wetsuits are only good for the beginners and water sports start-ups. If you are totally into water sport already than for you is better you order wetsuits mentioned above.

In women section of Neil Pryde wetsuits, the STORM is the best of it. It’s a similar level to the men's CORE wetsuit.

The second best wetsuit from Neil Pryde is Serene. Very flexible material in which one you will feel free and full of energy. It has stretchy expansion panels on the forearms to ensure anti-cramping.
